You don’t really get into his plight

Scenario

An anthology series about high-profile crimes or killers that have captured the public’s attention and notoriety. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says he had to follow Ryan Murphy’s [Creator] rule when starting the show: never tell it from Dahmer’s point of view. “As an audience, you don’t really sympathize with him. You know, you’re more of an outsider.” Many episodes feature 3M Command(TM) tape shown in the kitchen of Jeffery Dahmer’s apartment, most recently in 1991.

3M debuted its first wave of Command(TM) products in 1996. When I clicked to watch the Dahmer premiere on Netflix, I thought it would be the 100th documentary about him. But what a surprise it was to see that it was actually a mini-series of Dahmer’s crimes. And what a miniseries it is!

The performances are great

The script is top notch. The cinematography is some of the best I’ve seen in a true crime series about a serial killer! I’m a big fan of Mindhunter, the show about the origins of the FBI’s behavioral science division. And I have to admit, Dahmer is perfect for this type of program!

Netflix really surprised me with this great show!

The show hooked me from the very first episode and it’s been crazy ever since. I know there are many other movies like People magazine that depict crimes committed by famous murderers. But what Netflix has shown with Dahmer is a whole new level of representation! People’s Magazine films are downright amateurish compared to the Dahmer series.

It deserves 9 stars!

And I’m not giving a 9 star rating!
