Great acting from everyone
The best new show around, after Jack Ryan’s disappointing 4th season and lackluster shows everywhere, this felt much better in every way. It looks really well done and the action/fight scenes are awesome. I feel like most of the criticism of this show in the comments section is how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operator thing, and I, a guy, don’t mind a good female action show.
it’s an original IP that doesn’t go and turn a male lead into a female lead
Also, so far I haven’t seen any red flags to make all men ineligible or anything like that. I also thought at first that it was going to be more of an action-at-first-no-sense show, but then they got into the family a bit, and that usually makes me cringe, but I didn’t like what they did there. The criticism is that the plot of this particular group of operators is very limiting to the stories and can kill you if you go beyond the plot/villain of a season…it needs to be more comprehensive so they can possibly make a new, more action-intensive game.
It’s entertaining even without being the History Channel that some commenters seem to prefer
fast paced Homeland or it risks becoming too episodic like a blacklist.PS: Nicole Kidman’s part so far has been incredibly small and uneventful and anyone else could have done it… We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show …But from what I’ve seen so far, the show can stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-Listers. TLDR All in all, cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
