Kaya Scodelario’s character Laura Harrison is fictional. It is based on the journalists who covered Ayrton Senna’s career. In addition, Scodelario’s family is Brazilian, from Senna’s home state of São Paulo.

The first races of Senna’s career in England are shown on a track next to a mountain range. There are no mountains in England – especially Norfolk, which is famous for its flat landscape. Starting this review of the Senna series, I will start by talking about the casting, especially the choice of Gabriel Leone for the role. I believe he will continue to make great films with top directors because he has immense talent.
But there is no greater honor than playing a national idol and hero
The other actors also brought their characters to life brilliantly, transporting us to a bygone era thanks to the narration of Galvão Bueno and Xuxa’s golden age. The production of the series is impeccable, and honestly, Netflix made a great decision to invest everything they could to make the series not only a national but also an international success. I intended to watch the making-of, and it is sensationally surreal for a Brazilian series. The sound work, the creation of cars and racing outfits identical to the era, and the excellent CGI work were all excellent.
Watching the series helped me understand it
I wasn’t born in Senna’s time, but I knew he was important to our country. However, I hadn’t fully understood his achievements or the scope of his story. Senna’s touching story touches us from childhood to the tragic accident. Senna is gone, but his legacy lives on, and thanks to this series, it will live on in the minds of future generations.
But overall it’s a 10/10
The only criticism that didn’t affect my final rating but is worth mentioning was a few inappropriate scenes that didn’t need to be included. The show should have been presented openly for the family, and I think that was a mistake. Thanks to everyone who participated!
